Habakkuk 3:17-19 "Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on its vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer He enables me to tread on the heights"

Brothers and sister's in Christ, I share with you the turmoil that is taking place in our world today.

Though there is unrest in our country today, though there is calamity in our nation, and unrest in our homes, workplaces, and government we can rise each day knowing that the Lord is our salvation. We can rest knowing that He is our strength and our guiding force.

This scripture is very powerful when we take the time to meditate on it. When we, as a church body go through changes or troubling times, we need to focus on the reason that we worship as a member of Christ Kingdom. When we walk with the Lord it will not always be a bed of roses, however during those times of doubt, question and searching, we are called to find our faith. Know that Jesus will provide the comfort the peace that will be our strength.

Saying this, I ask you brother and sisters to know that you are protected by His mighty hand. You are being asked to come out of your comfort zone and walk more strongly with the Lord. You are being challenged to become a leader and not a follower in the life that He has given you.

I ask that you look at your church and seek GOD to show you where you can do more for his kingdom through your church. There are many different things within the church that need to be done. If you feel a project or something on your heart, please bring it to your pastor. The two of you can pray about it and then we can go to the board for approval to at least try.

Remember that not all things are a success, however unless they are tried there would never be any growth. It is better to try and fail-then never to try at all. God's sheep pen needs to be filled in His time. Ask yourself, has the time come?

I pray that we as brothers and sisters in Christ encourage each other as we grow in His service.
